GIRLS TENNIS: Hodags 3rd at Sub-Sectional, advance 2 singles players to Sectional

The postseason began Monday for the Rhinelander High School girls tennis team when the Hodags tied for third at the Division 1 Wausau West Sub-Sectional.
Stevens Point topped the eight-team standings with 24 points, followed by Wausau East (18), Rhinelander and Wausau West (10), Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln (8), Marshfield (4), Merrill (2) and D.C. Everest (0).
The Hodags had two singles players advance to the Sectional, which was moved up to today at Stevens Point. No. 1 singles player Ivy Packard reached the Sub-Sectional semifinal level and No. 3 singles player Belinda Weddle reached the finals to be Sectional qualifiers.
