Obituary: Earl E. Martin
Earl E. Martin, age 70, of Rhinelander, died at his home Monday, December 14, 2015. He was born November 7, 1945 in Amarillo, Texas to Guy and Beulah (Cannon) Martin. He grew up in Glendive, Montana where he attended school. Earl was united in marriage to Christine G. Smith on January 7, 1967 at Grace Four Square Church in Rhinelander. The couple lived in various areas of the country while Earl worked in the oil fields. They eventually settled in Vernon, Texas where Earl was employed as a heavy equipment operator for twenty years with the City of Vernon, Texas. Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. His favorite camping destinations were Country Fest and staying at his brother-in-law and sister-in-law’s cabin near Watersmeet, Michigan. Surviving is his wife Christine; one sister, Nola Hyatte of Valparaiso, Indiana. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Earl is further survived by special friends, Tyrane and Ashley Sparkman of Gainesville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beulah; step-father, C.G. Mitchell and by two nephews, Randy Gajewski and Donnie Hyatte Jr. Per Earl’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home & Cremation Specialists, 24 E.
