RBA 6th grade girls are tough competition

The RBA 6th grade girls' basketball team includes, in front, Mabel Spencer, Maria Heck, Audrey Schiek, Megan Brown and Reagan Hartman. In back, Eliza Currie, Grace Ratty, Annika Johnson, Hodag, Brynn Brzycki and Kylee Younker.
The Rhinelander Basketball Association (RBA) 6th grade girls competed successfully in recent play.
At the Auburndale tournament the girls took 2nd place, defeating Stevens Point, Auburndale, and Eau Claire.  In regular season tournament play, the girls finished with a 10-2 record.
This past weekend, the girls were one of the top 32 teams in the Great Northwest League selected to play in the League Championship Tournament (LCT) in the Eau Claire area.  The girls played well in their pool and bracket play, finishing 12th out of the 32 teams.
In tournaments and LCT play, the girls played quality competition and earned victories over 6 teams teams ranked in the top 20.
