Obituary: Beulah M. Lang
Beulah M. Lang, age 86 of Rhinelander, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Country Terrace. She was born February 23, 1929, in Harshaw to Almond and Bertha (Gerbig) Durkee. Beulah graduated from Rhinelander High School and was a lifelong resident here. She married Gerald Lang on October 30, 1948, and together they raised their family of five children. Beulah was employed in the kitchen at Rhinelander High School, worked at the Rhinelander K-Mart, and finished her career as a greeter at Walmart. She enjoyed bowling and gambling and looked forward to family get togethers and time spent with family and friends. Beulah is survived by three daughters, Lydia (David) Haenel, Lori (Glenn) Davis, and Lisa (Richard) Hirman all of Rhinelander; her son, Larry (Linnea) Lang of Rhinelander; grandchildren and great grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Mayer and Emily (David) Garvey both of Rhinelander. She was preceded in death by her parents, Almond and Bertha; her step-father, Theodore Peschek; her husband, Gerald on June 6, 2006; a daughter, Linda Houghton; a grandson, Jacob Haenel; a sister, Dolores Smith; and a brother, Edwin Durkee. A memorial service for Beulah will be held at 12 p.m. (Noon) on Friday, July 31, 2015, at the Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414). Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday, July 31, 2015, at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Northland Memorial Garden Mausoleum.
