Cast members of the Nicolet Players production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood are beginning to hit stride as they prepare for upcoming performances in early May.

Actors in the musical include, front row, left to right, Edward Guth, Tony Jones, Chris Bruso; middle row, Mary Dork, Kay Anderson, Anna Schwartz, Allison Seils, Bobbie Keso-Mode; back row, Sarah Newman, Lisa Johnson, Marcia Sattelberg, Gabe Olifierowicz, Kate Larch, Cecily Dawson and Benjamin Roskoskey. Not pictured is Al Higgins.

The Tony Award-winning musical is set in a Victorian music hall where an ensemble of raucous actors tries to find an ending for the novel left unfinished by Charles Dickens’ sudden death. Every performer is a suspect in the murder of young Edwin Drood and each performance ends with a surprise as the audience decides who the killer is.

Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 1 and 2; and Thursday through Saturday May 7 to 9. Sunday performances on May 3 and 10 are at 2 p.m.

All performances are in the Nicolet College Theatre, located in the Learning Resources Center on the Nicolet Campus one mile south of Rhinelander just off of Hwy. G.

Tickets are $7 and $9 and can be purchased online at nicoletlive.com or by calling 715-365-4646 or 1-800-544-3039, ext. 4646.

The Mystery of Edwin Drood is part of the 2014-15 Nicolet Live! performing arts series. To view a complete listing of upcoming events, visit nicoletlive.com.
