Rhinelander swimmers ended their season with the Midwest Regional Swim meet held March 27 and 28 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center. The Regional meet hosted 82 swim teams from 10 states in the Midwest.

Coach Megan Cihla said she was pleased with the performances of the athletes. “We had about a month of training that focused on a few small, but important aspects of every race including lengthening our under water kicking and breath control,” Chihla said. “Every swimmer came in and swam the races exactly how they had prepared, and did wonderfully. We had athletes drop anywhere from hundredths of a second to 7 or 8 seconds. At this point in the season, any drop in time is fabulous and as a coach, I couldn’t have asked for anything better.”
