Walk MS: Rhinelander will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, at Rhinelander High School, 605 Coolidge Avenue. Check-in will begin at 9 a.m.; the walk will begin at 10 a.m.
This is Wisconsin’s only Walk MS event north of Wausau. Last year, approximately 300 people attended the event and raised more than $35,000. This year, the goal is to raise $40,000. Funds will support services for the more than 11,000 children, women and men in Wisconsin diagnosed with MS and those who care for them, as well as for MS research.
People can participate in Walk MS individually or as a team. Volunteers are also needed.
Visit walkMSwisconsin.org, call 800-242-3358 or email [email protected] to register as a walker, form a team or sign up as a volunteer. Early registration closes at noon Wednesday, Sept. 3, but will be available on-site Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.
Proceeds raised will benefit the National MS Society-Wisconsin Chapter to fund MS-related research, programs and services for those living with multiple sclerosis.
