Obituary: Savannah Johnston

Savannah Johnston, 93, of Rhinelander, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014, in the company of her family at the Friendly Village. She was born January 9, 1921, in Shoffner, Ark. to Hiram and Nora (Trammell) Tracy. Savannah is survived by her four children, Val (Roxie) Duncan of Hinesville, G.A., Hal (Lynn) Duncan of Prestonberg, Kent., Nora (John) Lambert of Rhinelander, and Mary (Tom) Litzen of Rhinelander; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 13 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert on May 29, 1989; a daughter, Barbara Ann Johnston; a grandson, Jerry; granddaughter, Wonda; four sisters, Nona Mae, Ruby, Sallie and Mary Lou; and two brothers, C.J. and William. Funeral services for Savannah will be at noon on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at the Carlson Funeral Home with Rev. Rod Ankrom officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Forest Home Cemetery. (Carlson Funeral Home)
