New weekly after school opportunity

Children in grades K-5 are invited to a new free weekly after school program Wednesdays. The Good News Club encourages children using Biblical principles to teach important character qualities like respect for authority. It uses fun-filled Bible lessons, creative activities, exciting songs, and scripture memory. Games, snacks and prizes will make it extra special for the children.

“When I was a girl I went to my neighbor’s house for a Good News Club,” Heidi Koval, club organizer, said. “Times have changed, but the message of God’s love remains the same. We are offering this Good News Club with the unchanging message of God’s Love.”

The club starts Jan. 22 and runs through April 30 from after school to 5 p.m. at the Rhinelander High School in Classroom 109. Parents may make arrangements for children to ride the bus to the high school.

The club is sponsored by Pine Grove Community Church. Pine Grove is a local non-denominational church and provides trained adult volunteers who are screened to help assure the safety of children.

For more information or to register, contact Pine Grove Community Church at 715.369.5404.
