Oneida residents desiring to find out more about health insurance options under the new health care law and enroll can attend an event at the ADRC 100 W. Keenan St. Rhinelander Wednesday, Jan. 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, although appointments can be made for that day by calling 715-261-2141 before Jan. 8.

Attendees will be able to view a presentation at the top of each hour about the Affordable Health Care Program and how it works. Questions are more than welcome.

Participants interested in enrolling will also have access to Certified Application Counselors and the Healthcare.gov website and will be able to see how much subsidy would be available to them and to start their enrollment process. Bring a photo ID and a social security card.

“People have been amazed at the low cost of the plans and the quality of care offered,” Mary Testin, Coordinator of Enrollment for Central Wisconsin said. “Those who need accurate information or assistance in enrolling should really make an effort to attend.”

The deadline for insurance coverage to begin Feb. 1 is Jan. 15. The final enrollment deadline is March 31.
