Rhinelander District Library Foundation Update

Since launching its annual Capital Campaign in April, 120 donors have contributed, $9,605.00.

“That’s a good start,” Foundation President Maria Gonzalez-Cerra said. “And just halfway under our goal of $20,000. We are grateful for those who have contributed so far and are helping us reach this year’s goal.”

The 2013 Capital Campaign funds will be used for self-checkout machines and improvements to the public bathrooms. Self-checkout machines are a popular service offered in many libraries. Similar to check-out machines found in stores, they provide an express checkout for patrons who are in a hurry and do not want to stand in line to check out materials.

They are also useful for those who want to check out their own books for privacy or other reasons. Patrons would still have the option to check out with a library staff member if they so desire.

The public bathrooms have needed updating for some years, and providing better ventilation and lighting are this year’s goals.

Donors may make checks payable to RDLF and send them to: Rhinelander District Library Foundation, P.O. Box 1225, Rhinelander, WI 54501. All donations will be acknowledged.

The Rhinelander District Library Foundation, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) organization. All gifts are tax deductible as allowed by U.S. law.
