The Vilas County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended the individual they were seeking in connection with a homicide in Milwaukee County. As of Thursday afternoon, Vilas County Sheriff Gerard Ritter II reports that Michael J. Garcia Carroll Jr., 40, is in custody.
Ritter issued a press release earlier today seeking the public's help in locating Caroll who is wanted by the Milwaukee Police Department in connection with a homicide that occurred in the City of Milwaukee on June 18.
“Oneida County and Vilas County sheriff’s deputies made contact with Carroll at a business near State Hwy 70 and US Hwy 51 in Arbor Vitae on Tuesday, June 24, but Carroll fled on foot,” the initial release read.
The updated release does not include information as to how Carroll was located.
