Explore Rhinelander has announced the launch of the “Sweet Stop Stroll”, a month-long downtown event taking place through Aug. 31. Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to take part by visiting participating businesses, make purchases to collect stamps, and earn prizes while buying local, organizers said in a press release.
A total of six downtown businesses are official stops on the stroll, including: Cool Beans FroYo Café, BC Cakes and More, Butcher Shop Bake Company, Almond & Berry, Fun Factory Sweet Shoppe, and Briq’s Soft Serve. After picking up an official Stroll stamp card, participants are welcome to visit these sweet stops, collect stamps by making a purchase at each location, and return their completed card for prizes at the Rhinelander Chamber & Visitor Center by Aug. 31. Strollers who earn a stamp at all six locations will be entered into a drawing for the Grand Prize gift basket, that includes a collection of specialty products, gift cards, and other merchandise from Sweet Stop businesses along with unique Hodag-themed items.
The Sweet Stop Stroll was created to be a fun and interactive experience to help people explore downtown Rhinelander in a new way. The event seeks to create awareness for community retailers, increase downtown foot traffic, and build the local business economy through purchases made. The sweet stroll welcomes families and individuals of all ages to join in this end-of-summer celebration of downtown businesses, sweet treats, and choosing to “Shop Local & Treat Yourself”. To participate in the Sweet Stop Stroll, stop by the Rhinelander Chamber & Visitor Center or any participating business to pick up a Sweet Stroll stamp card.
