Rhinelander Rotary Club hosts scavenger hunt fundraiser to support youth programs

The Rhinelander Rotary Club is inviting the community to join in a one-of-a-kind scavenger hunt fundraiser on Sunday, September 27.

“Teams will explore the Rhinelander area through a series of challenging and exciting clues, with all net proceeds benefiting Rotary Youth Programs that serve local students and young leaders,” organizers said in a press release. “Net proceeds from the event will help support a full suite of Rhinelander Rotary youth programs that make a meaningful difference in the lives of local young people. The Rhinelander High School InterAct Club is a student-led service club sponsored by Rotary that gives young people hands-on experience with community service and civic engagement. The Rotary Foreign Exchange Student Program opens doors for local students to live and study abroad while welcoming international students into the Rhinelander community, fostering cross-cultural understanding and lifelong connections. The Teen Character Awards recognize Rhinelander-area students who demonstrate exceptional integrity, leadership, and character in their schools and communities. The Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA) is an immersive leadership development program that challenges and inspires high school students to grow as communicators, problem-solvers, and community contributors. Additionally, Rotary awards local scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing higher education, helping ensure that financial barriers don’t stand between deserving students and their futures. Together, these programs reflect Rhinelander Rotary’s deep commitment to investing in the next generation of leaders right here in the Northwoods.”

Teams check in beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Blain’s Farm & Fleet, with the hunt officially kicking off at 1 p.m. Each team receives a goodie basket and their first clue before setting off to test their knowledge of the Rhinelander area. At 4 p.m., all teams reconvene at the final location for an after-party featuring complimentary appetizers and the announcement of winners. Prizes will be awarded to the first three teams to arrive with all clues completed.

The Rhinelander Rotary Club is a local chapter of Rotary International, a global network of community volunteers dedicated to service above self. The club supports a wide range of local and international initiatives focused on education, youth development, and community well-being.
