GNMLS donates $35,000 to Habitat for Humanity Northwoods for Lakeland area parcel purchase

Posted

The Greater Northwoods Multiple Listing Service (GNMLS), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Northwoods Association of REALTORS® (NWAR), recently presented a $35,000 donation to Habitat for Humanity Northwoods to assist with the purchase of a parcel in the Lakeland area for a future home build project. Each year, GNMLS allocates funds to support local charitable organizations dedicated to improving the lives of those living in Northwoods communities, and this year’s contribution will help lay the foundation for future homeownership opportunities for local families.
“Homeownership is at the heart of everything we do,” said Dan Pudlo, GNMLS President. “Habitat for Humanity Northwoods is creating opportunities for families to put down roots and build brighter futures, and we are proud to support a project that will benefit the local area for years to come.”
Dave Havel, Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity Northwoods, accepted the donation on behalf of the organization and expressed his appreciation for the partnership. “We are incredibly grateful for GNMLS’s generous support,” said Havel. “This gift will help make a future home possible in the Lakeland area and will have a lasting impact on the families we serve.”
Greater Northwoods MLS provides a comprehensive multiple listing service to real estate professionals throughout northern Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan. Through its annual charitable giving efforts, GNMLS and NWAR remain committed to supporting organizations that enhance the quality of life in the communities they serve. Habitat for Humanity Northwoods Wisconsin was founded in 1996 and finished its first Habitat home in 1998. Since that time, it has built over 25 homes in its service area of Oneida and Vilas counties. The organization relies on donations and volunteer help to fulfill its mission, and operates a Habitat ReStore on Lincoln Street in Rhinelander.
