The Oneida County sheriff's office is investigating a two-vehicle accident in the Town of Cassian Monday afternoon that sent four people, including a toddler, to the hospital.
According to a press release issed by Capt. Robert Hebein, at approximately 4:12 p.m. the sheriff's office received multiple calls reporting a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway K and Harshaw Road in the Town of Cassian.
" Initial investigation showed that a 2012 Chevy Impala, operated by a 50-year-old woman, was southbound on Harshaw Road," the release states. "The Impala failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Highway K and Harshaw Road. The
Impala was struck by a westbound 2007 Chevy Trailblazer, operated by a 64-year-old male. The Impala was occupied by a four-year-old passenger. The Trailblazer was occupied by a 63-year-old passenger." The driver of the Impala was transported via MedEvac to an area medical facility. Both of the occupants of the Trailblazer, and the passenger of the Impala, were transported to area medical facilities.
