City administrator resigns

Patrick Reagan, Rhinelander’s city administrator for the last 3 1/2 years, is set to leave his position in August to return to Michigan. According to his resignation letter, his last day as Rhinelander’s administrator will be Aug. 7.
“It has been both my honor and privilege to serve the residents of Rhinelander and to also work with a group of truly outstanding department leaders,” he wrote in the letter dated July 7. The Newberry News of Newberry, Mich. has reported that Reagan has been hired as the next city manager for Sault St. Marie. Reagan has served as Rhinelander’s city administrator since Feb. 6, 2023. He succeeded Zach Vruwink who resigned in the fall of 2022 to take a job in southern Wisconsin.According to the Newberry News, Reagan is scheduled to start his new job between mid-and late August. He previously served as village manager for the Village of Lake Odessa, Mich.
