Central Artist of the Month

Central Intermediate School’s Art Department is in its second round of “Artist of the Month” recognition!
In this month, we see fourth grade connecting cultural traditions to modern day art with their “African Masks.” Students used original symmetrical designs and operational thinking to create these masks. Fifth grade students were inspired by the Chinese New Year Dragon and constructed a unique sculpture of a dragon using TP Tubes! “TP Tube Dragons” used many steps and various materials, resulting in some colorful, fire-breathing creatures.
Students are chosen as Artist of the Month for their innovative thinking skills, creative applications, showcasing of exemplar learning through the project expectations, and of course, by positively demonstrating the 4Be’s .
The second round of student artwork will hang within Nicolet National Bank until May 15. I encourage anyone to go and check it out!
Congratulations to our April Artists and a very special “thank you” to Nicolet National Bank!
