Election results for spring 2014
The Rhinelander School District School Board will have a new face this upcoming term as challenger Duane Frey was one of the three elected to the three seats. Four were in the race for the spots.
Frey earned 1036 votes to top the totals in the polls. Incumbents Mike Roberts (917) and Merlin Van Buren (767) will return to the school board. Fellow incumbent Ray Burgan received 653 votes.
In contested area Oneida County Board races at least one seat will change hands. In District 11, challenger Robb W. Jensen (211) unseated incumbent Bob Martini (127).
In the 5th District, incumbent Carol Pederson (112) defeated challenger Robert DeeDe (17) to retain her seat.
In District 7, incumbent Bob Mott (186) leads challenger Dennis Schoeneck (180). Absentee votes are accepted until April 4 and results do not become official until the April 8 meeting of the Board of Canvas.
