RHINELANDER – It looks like power may not be restored until Sunday or Monday for some Oneida County homes and businesses that experienced power outages during the wind storms earlier this week. For those who may need a place to go to warm up, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office announced three businesses that are open to citizens:
-Rhinelander Walmart is open 6 a.m.-11 p.m. every day. Located at 2121 Lincoln Street; 715-362-8550.
-ADRC of Oneida County is available 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. 100 W. Keenan Street; 715-369-6170
- Minocqua Walmart is open 6 a.m.-11 p.m. every day. Located at 8760 Northridge Way; 715-356-1609
Anyone in need of a warming center should contact the Sheriff’s office dispatch center at 715-361-5100.
Other safety information for those trying to stay warm in their homes during a power outage:
AVOID carbon monoxide poisoning! Do not use heating devices designed for outdoor use indoors.
