Volunteer calendar connects communities

Posted

The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce (RACC) is inviting nonprofit and community organizations to submit their 2026 volunteer opportunities to the chamber’s community-wide volunteer calendar. Hosted on the Chamber website, RhinelanderChamber.com/volunteer, the calendar connects residents with meaningful ways to serve organizations across the Northwoods.
“Keeping volunteer opportunities up to date helps organizations reach more people and makes it easier for residents to get involved,” RACC Guest Services Coordinator Katie Younker said in a press release announcing the initiative. “This shared resource strengthens volunteer support for causes that matter in our community.”
For nonprofit & community organizations:
Organizations are encouraged to submit volunteer needs for events or ongoing roles. Updated listings
increase visibility and help build stronger volunteer connections throughout 2026.

For volunteers:
Residents can explore local volunteer opportunities and connect with organizations that match their interests and availability.
As of this month, the chamber is also featuring volunteer opportunities in a monthly e-newsletter, Volunteer Rhinelander, highlighting upcoming needs and ways to stay engaged year-round.
“We appreciate our nonprofit partners for the work they do and for helping keep this resource current and valuable,” Younker said.
The chamber’s online volunteer calendar is a centralized public resource that promotes collaboration, increases visibility for local missions, and supports ongoing community engagement in the Rhinelander area.
The Community Volunteer Calendar and Volunteer Rhinelander were both developed as part of the Leadership Oneida County program.
