Vancos Family Splash Pad grand opening May 22

A grand opening ceremony for the new Vancos Family Splash Pad at Hodag Park will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, May 22. The project is the result of a partnership between the City of Rhinelander and the local Kiwanis Club.
“Community members, families, local leaders, and supporters are invited to join in celebrating this exciting addition to the Rhinelander community,” Kiwanis officials said in a press release. “The splash pad was made possible through the dedication of local volunteers, generous donors including the Vancos Family, community partnerships, and the shared vision of creating a fun and welcoming space for children and families to enjoy for years to come.”
“This project represents what can happen when a community comes together to invest in its families and future,” said Kerry Brekke, Kiwanis Club of Rhinelander President. “We are proud to celebrate the opening of a space that will bring joy, laughter, and lasting memories to so many.”
The event will include a brief ribbon cutting ceremony, remarks from community representatives, photo opportunities, and the official opening of the Vancos Family Splash Pad for the season.
The public is encouraged to attend and help celebrate this exciting milestone for the community. Kiwanis invites the community to join in supporting the playground project through donations, partnerships, and volunteer efforts.
