UPDATE: Names released in Monday's fatal accident

Oneida County authorities have released the initial findings of their investigation surrounding the death of a five-year old child in Newbold yesterday.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the preliminary investigation indicates that Cyntha Ziolkowski had been moving a vehicle in her yard on Guthrie Lane in the town of Newbold, when she backed over her son, Asher Ziolkowski. He was pronounced dead at the scene when emergency personnel arrived.

Cynthia Ziolkowski placed a call to 911 approximately 9:48 a.m. Monday, reporting she had hit her child with her vehicle.

Oneida County deputies were assisted by the Newbold Fire Department, Newbold First Responders and the Oneida County Medical Examiner's office. The investigation is continuing.
