Upcoming programs at the Rhinelander District Library

Below is a list of upcoming events at the Rhinelander District Library:

Baby Storytime

The Rhinelander District Library's fall session of Baby Storytime is in progress. This storytime is conducted on Monday's at 10:15 a.m. Designed for young ones six months to two years of age, this 20-minute program consists of simple stories, fingerplays and music. A social/play time follows each program.

Wednesdays at the Movies

The full-length children's movie the The Croods (PG) will be shown on the big-screen in the Rhinelander District Library meeting room from 3:30 to 5:08 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16. No admission is charged.

Preschool Programs

Two programs for preschoolers are scheduled at the Rhinelander District Library on Thursday, Oct. 17. A 20-minute Parent/Tot Time program for children age 2 to 3 1/2 who are accompanied by an adult begins at 10 a.m. in the Children's Department.

A 40-minute Story Time program for children age 3 1/2 to 6 is scheduled for 10 a.m. in the library meeting room. At the completion of the programs, caregivers and children from both groups will gather together to do a simple craft.

Afterschool Storytime

On Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 4 to 4:45 p.m. the Rhinelander District Library will be hosting an Afterschool Storytime in the library's meeting room. Join Children's Librarian Mr. Tom for stories, puppets, action rhymes, fingerplays, and a short movie.

Tail Waggin' Tutors

The reading therapy dogs are looking for children to read to them on Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Rhinelander District Library. Sign-up for a 10-minute session by stopping by the Children's Department or calling 715-265-1070 ext. 2. This is a fun, no pressure way for children to improve their reading skills.
