A trio of programs at the library will be offered for are youngsters in the coming weeks. The events are:
Baby Storytime: The Rhinelander District Library's summer session of Baby Storytime is in progress. This storytime is conducted Monday's at 10:15 a.m. through August. Designed for young ones ages six months to two years of age, this 20-minute program consists of simple stories, finger plays and music. A social/play time follows each program.
Tail Waggin' Tutors: The reading therapy dogs are looking for children to read to them Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Rhinelander District Library. Sign-up for a 10-minute session by stopping by the Children's Department or calling 715-265-1070 ext. 2. This is a fun, no pressure way for children to improve their reading skills.
Preschool Programs: Two programs for preschoolers are scheduled at the Rhinelander District Library on Thursday, Aug. 15. A twenty-minute Parent/Tot Time program for children age 2 to 3 1/2 who are accompanied by an adult begins at 10 a.m. in the Children's Department.
A 40-minute Story Time program for children age 3 1/2 to 6 is scheduled for 10 a.m. in the library meeting room. At the completion of the programs, caregivers and children from both groups will gather together to do a simple craft.
