Parade organizers announce ‘sensory friendly’ area

Posted

The Rhinelander Fourth of July Parade organizers have announced there will be a sensory-friendly area as part of this year’s festivities.
The sensory-friendly area will be along the parade route from City Hall to Rives Street. While the parade makes its way down that part of the route, organizers have requested no sirens, loud horns or motor revving, and no confetti bombs. Music from units and bands are welcome.
“The Fourth of July committee is pleased to accommodate individuals with sensory concerns,” the release states. “We ask that all parade units honor and respect this request.”
