The Rhinelander High School girls basketball team held its season-ending banquet on Monday March 9 at the high school library. All-conference honorees were recognized and local awards were presented.
All-conference honorees were Lexi Beran and Vivian Lamers, both juniors, who received honorable mention, and freshman Teagan Clark who earned second team honors. Junior Aubryn Clark was a unanimous first team choice and the conference player of the year. Aubryn also earned an all-state honorable mention award.
The varsity awards went to Ellie Cummings (Most Improved), Vivian Lamers (Hustle Award), Teagan Clark (Defensive Player of the Year) Aubryn Clark (Toughness Award). Gracie Anderson and Kara Monk won the Hodag Award.
For the JV2 squad, Payton Fritz won the Hustle Award and Ashlyn Hapka was the Defensive Player of the Year. On JV 1, Lily Kurilla was Most Improved, Ellie Cummings earned the Hustle Award and McKenzie Paulson was named Defensive Player of the Year.
