Two-vehicle crash closes Hwy 8 near Crescent Lake

A two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon involving a semi-trailer truck and a full-size passenger truck on Hwy 8 west at Crescent Rd remains under investigation.

The Oneida County Dispatch Center was alerted to the accident at 1:05 p.m. Upon arrival, emergency units reportedly found the semi-trailer truck driver to have no apparent injuries. The other driver was transported by ambulance and then helicopter to an area hospital due to injuries.

The highway was closed and traffic re-routed. No further information is being provided at this time.
