RHINELANDER – The 20th annual YMCA of the Northwoods Teen Character Awards ceremony recognized 29 teens for demonstrating strong moral character, leadership and service. The young people represented Oneida, Vilas, Forest and Lincoln counties. Additionally, Joe Schneider and Mari Szews received Y Teen Character scholarships, made possible by the Steingraber family.

The event took place at the Pines Event Center and was presented by Rhinelander Rotary. The following students were honored:

Rhinelander: Jett Biolo, McKenna Brown, Ryan Jamison, Garrett Kulhanek, Marcus O’Malley, McKenna Nash, Gavin Ostermann, Joe Schneider, Sam Schneider, Hunter St. Louis

Phelps: Brooke Andersen, Taliea Doppke

Laona: Braylee Chrisman, Grace Krawze, Kaylyn LaRock

Northland Pines: Elise Gergersen, McKenzie Lewandowski, Mikeala Luedtke, Frankie Milanowski, Kylee Swendson

Three Lakes: Naomi Kadlec, Kara Sowinski, Melanie Stauffer, Kaya Szews, Kallie Volk
