On Dec. 7, the Northcentral Drug Enforcement Group (NORDEG), the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, the Rhinelander Police Department and the Wisconsin Department of Justice continued an investigation involving the use, manufacture and delivery of controlled substances, specifically methamphetamine.
Events surrounding this investigation led to the execution of a State Search Warrant in the City of Rhinelander and to the arrest of four individuals. During the apprehension of one of the suspects, a short chase occurred within the city of Rhinelander, but ended quickly and without incident. Arrested in connection with the investigation were Joel Hughes, 44; Chantil Rahlf, 41; Nichole Johnson, 23; and Justin Helvey, 27, all from Rhinelander, WI. Charges are still being determined at this time. They will appear in court on Wednesday, Dec. 9.

These arrests are part of an ongoing controlled substance investigation by the Northcentral Drug Enforcement Group (NORDEG) Task Force. Participating agencies in this investigation included the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, the Rhinelander Police Department and the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
