Story of the Nutcracker comes to life

Local dancers perform holiday favorites

RHINELANDER – The Northwoods School of Dance held its annual winter recital, with dancers performing the Nutcracker ballet and other holiday favorites.

Two performances were held Dec. 9 at the John and Dori Brown PAC in the Rhinelander High School. The Nutcracker tells the story of a girl who befriends a nutcracker that comes to life on Christmas Eve and wages a battle against the evil Mouse King. All dances were choreographed by Northwoods School of Dance instructors.
