Sayner woman dies in single car crash

ST. GERMAIN – Vilas County Sheriff Joe Fath has released the name of the woman killed in a single-vehicle crass early Sunday morning.

Brittany Johnston, 33 of Sayner, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, near WI-155 near South Lost Lake Drive. The Sheriff's office report states a 911 call was received just before 1 a.m. July 2. Officers determined Johnston's vehicle left the road, missing the corner and struck trees.

Several area fire and rescue units and the Oneida County Medical Examiners office responded to the call. The crash remains under investigation.
