The Rhinelander Police Department is partnering with Culver’s for the annual Cops @ Culver‘s Day fundraiser on Tuesday, July 28, to support the Police Lights of Christmas program. Throughout the day, members of RPD will be serving guests, delivering meals, and interacting
with customers at Culver’s while helping raise funds for a meaningful community cause.
The event will take from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Santa will be at Culver’s for pictures from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
According to a press release announcing the event, Police Lights of Christmas is a Wisconsin law enforcement charity that provides local officers with gift cards they can distribute around Christmas time to individuals and families experiencing unexpected hardships. These gift cards have become another tool for law enforcement as they protect and serve - going beyond the badge to see a need and fill a need. Community members can support the program by stopping in at Culver’s on July 28 for a meal, leaving a tip during the event, or by making a donation. All proceeds help fund the gift card program, allowing local officers to continue making a positive difference in the community.
“We’re excited for another opportunity to connect with our community while supporting a program that allows us to help people when they need it most,” said Captain Chad Brown. “We hope everyone will join us for great food, great conversations, and a great cause.”
