RHS Student Council, LWVNOW team up for school board candidate forum

The Rhinelander High School Student Council, in partnership with the League of Women Voters of the Northwoods, will sponsor a school board candidates forum from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4 . All five candidates running for three open positions on the Rhinelander school board have been invited to participate.
The event is designed to give community members an opportunity to meet the candidates and learn about their goals and priorities as prospective school board officials, organizers said in a press release. The forum will be moderated by two Student Council members and organized by Student Council members and League volunteers. Candidates will respond to written questions submitted by audience members.
This nonpartisan forum provides voters and candidates an opportunity to exchange ideas and engage in informed civic discussion.  The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization committed to helping citizens develop informed opinions and participate actively in the democratic process.
