At number 1 doubles Sam Aschenbrenner made the return on a wide shot by Wausau West in the first set won by the duo of Aschenbrenner and Addy Currie.

Junior Annie VanderGalien serves at number 1 singles.

Addy Stroebel served as her partner Alexia Corey-Luse awaits a return. The pair lost their match in the tiebreaker.

Winning her first match was 2 singles player Jordan Manske. Manske advanced to the sectional last Wednesday.

Tennis subsectional was hosted by Rhinelander on Monday Oct. 5th and the Hodags advanced all its singles entries. Annie VanderGalien at 1 singles defeated Sierra Wallace in straight sets to advance to the sectional Wednesday at Lakeland. The number 1 flights only need to win their first match to advance while the rest of the field has to win 2 in order to advance. Juniors Jordan Manske and Taylor McKinney, numbers 2 and 3 respectively and sophomore #4 singles player Lucy Evers all won two and advanced to Wednesday's sectional. Unfortunately on Wednesday none of the Hodag entries were able to win and advance to state.

None of the doubles entries for Rhinelander were able to advance although the number 1 doubles team of Sam Aschenbrenner and Addy Currie and the 2 doubles team of Addy Stroebel and Alexia Corey-Luse both went into tiebreakers and lost those matches.
