Rhinelander High School principal resigns

School District of Rhinelander Board of Education has announced the resignation of high school principal David Ditzler. The board officially accepted his resignation Monday night, during closed session following the monthly meeting.

Ditzler is currently on leave, which has been extended through Dec. 29.

A letter to district staff said that Shane Dornfeld will continue as interim principal through the end of the school year. Superintendent Kelli Jacobi is reportedly working with Tim Howell to extend his contract as interim associate principal at the high school.
