Rhinelander chamber announces finalists for awards gala

The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the finalists for its Annual Awards Gala and Fundraiser, set for Thursday, Jan. 23, at the Pines Event Center in Rhinelander.

The event celebrates Rhinelander area businesses and individuals and the impact they made over the last year. The chamber said it received hundreds of nominations, and an independent judge's panel narrowed the list of nominees down to the following finalists:

Small Business Excellence Award: Heather Collins Photography, Northland CPAs, and Tom’s Drawing Board.

Business Excellence Award: Blain’s Farm and Fleet, Nicolet College, and Ripco Credit Union.

Community Service Award: Hodag 10s, Oneida County Humane Society, and the Rhinelander Area Silent Trails Association.

Community Enhancement Award: Aspirus Rhinelander, Culver’s Rhinelander, and Holiday Inn Express and Suites.

Company Culture Excellence Award: Briar House, Charter Next Generation, and Trig’s Rhinelander.

Entrepreneurial Achievement Award: Cutz with Connection, Northwoods Bricks, and Wally’s South 17.

Community Volunteer of the Year: Kerry Bloedorn, Krystal Fochs, and Amy Vanney.

Spirit of the Hodag: Lexi Allen, Eric Burke, and Janet Jamison.

Fab Five 40 and over: Eric Burke, Cecily Dawson, Kate Ferrel, Lloyd Gauthier, Linda Krebsbach, Darlene Machtan, Bill Vancos, and Geoff Weller.

Fantastic Five Under 40: Ricky Cropley, Ben Hauser, Steven Jopek, Tiki Krueger-Boehm, Stephanie Laska, Michael Lodholz, Grace Nash, and Di Wu.
