Rhinelander Area Community Band to perform at Hodag Park this summer

The Rhinelander Area Community Band is changing the location of its summer concerts this year. Beginning Tuesday, June 9, the band will be playing at 6:30 p.m. every other Tuesday at the Hodag Park amphitheater. Other dates when the band is scheduled are June 23, July 7 and 21, and Aug. 4 and 18. Weather permitting, there will be music at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday at Hodag Park throughout the summer, with other musical groups alternating with Community Band concert dates.
Music at many of the concerts will pay tribute to the 250th anniversary of the United States. There will also be a big variety of songs familiar to all ages.
Community Band previously held its concerts at the RiverWalk band shell. This change will better accommodate the band’s growing numbers as well larger audiences. The band has been entertaining Northwoods audiences for more than 40 years.
