The 2025 Riverwalk Concert Series will kick off at 7 p.m. June 4 with the Rhinelander Area Community Band (RACB). The weekly concerts are held at the bandshell near Trig’s in Rhinelander. Under the direction of Marilyn Pekol, RACB includes musicians of all ages from throughout the Northwoods, as well as summer residents. The free concerts will continue each Wednesday throughout the summer and will feature a variety of groups, from polka to jazz to bluegrass, and almost everything in between.Scheduled performances are June 11, Jim Pekol Polka Band; June 18, RACB; June 25, Leon Day concert by the Greiner Brothers (Leon is Noel backward for a summer Christmas concert); July 2, Double Quintet Concert – Celebration Brass and Legends of Brass; July 9, RACB; July 16, Hand-picked Bluegrass Band; July 23, All-Girls Review Variety Band; July 30, RACB; Aug. 6, Northwoods Jazz Group; and Aug. 13, RACB with guest conductor Jeffery Traster, professor emeritus, University of Tampa, Florida.
