The Nordic ski team was host to the Hodag Challenge race at CAVOC over the weekend with over 350 high school and middle school racers.
Saturday the race was the classic style with skiers taking off at 15 second intervals. Sunday the style was skating and racers took off in order of their finish on Saturday with the interval determined by how far behind the first place skier their finish was on Saturday. The girls started first on Saturday and the boys on Sunday with the middle school race beginning after the high school was finished.
The Hodag girls were paced by Brynn Teter who finished 29th on Saturday followed by Kayla Skubal, Olivia Gillen and Luna Grage. On the boys side, freshman Olin Slette was the top finisher followed by Travis White, Charlie Loomis and Iain Rumney.

The Hodag Challenge over the weekend also had middle school boys and girls racing. James Williams Middle School had several students racing.
Lucy Eddy, an eighth grader finished in 11th place Saturday and after Sunday's race placed 14th overall. Mya Gillen was not far behind placing 15th on Saturday and 21st overall.
Austin Slette led the boys finishing 31st overall.
