Park City Credit Union has stepped up to help Northwoods food pantries fill their shelves. There have been growing numbers of people seeking help during the COVID-19 crisis, whether being out of work or families have more mouths to feed because of school closures.
Four area food pantries have received $500 each from the credit union.
“There are many community members where access to the food they need is uncertain, and they don’t know when their next meal will arrive,” said Park City CEO Val Mindak. “No person, child or family should be hungry. We hope our donation will help keep the pantry shelves stocked.”
Rhinelander Area Food Pantry, Lakeland Pantry, Community Food Pantry of Merrill and Tomahawk United Methodist Church Food Pantry were recipients of the donation.
