Snowmobile trails in Oneida County will open for the season Friday, Feb. 7, at 8 a.m.
Trails are in rough, early-season condition, and caution is advised, according to a public service announcement released Tuesday by the Oneida County Forestry Department.
The department said lake and river trails are unsafe until clearly marked by a local snowmobile club, and off-trail riding is trespassing and could result in trail closure, citations, and fines.
For more information, snowmobilers are encouraged to contact local snowmobile clubs, the Oneida County Chamber of Commerce, or the Oneida County Forestry, Land, and Recreation Department.
