Posted

RHINELANDER – Oneida County Health Department is holding a second COVID-19 booster pop-up clinic Thursday, April 14, 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the ADRC in Rhinelander. Appointments are not required.

Eligible individuals for second boosters must have gotten their first booster dose at least four months ago and meet one of the following criteria:

• Be over 50 years old.

• Be 12 years old or older with certain immunocompromised conditions. Examples are those who have undergone transplants, receiving treatment for cancer, or are taking medications that may suppress the immune system.

• Be between ages 18-49 years and have received the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as their primary series dose and booster dose.

Booster appointments after the pop-up clinic should be scheduled online. Those without internet access can call 715-401-4150.

OCHD states the COVID-19 vaccine is safe and can protect against getting sick and potentially spreading the virus to others.
