Oneida County 4H to host RoboCamp for youth

Posted

Registration is now open for RoboCamp 2026, a hands-on, one-week day camp introducing youth to the world of Lego robotics, coding, and teamwork. The camp will run July 20-24 at Nicolet Area Technical College’s Northwoods Center in Rhinelander. The schedule and full details can be found online at https://oneida.extension.wisc.edu/robocamp.
Robo-Camp is open to all youth entering grades 4-5 from public, private, or homeschool settings, according to an Oneida County 4H press release. No robotics or coding experience is needed. Throughout the week, campers will work in teams to learn the basics of building and programming robots while also practicing problemsolving, communication, and teamwork. In addition to robotics, youth will enjoy outdoor activities and opportunities to explore the Nicolet College campus. This program is sponsored by Oneida County 4-H Robotics, Enterprise Wood Products, LMS JCB Equipment, and Nicolet Area Technical College. Robo-Camp is not a “free-build-with-Legos” program. While there is time included for building with Legos, this day camp offers a more structured environment which will encourage youth to focus longer on tasks, test ideas, and persevere through challenges. The cost is $75 per student with financial assistance available. To register, visit https://oneida.extension.wisc.edu/robocamp or call 715-365-2750
