Obituary: Victor Rhode

Victor A. Rhode, age 84, of Rhinelander, died Thursday, March 19, 2015, at his home under hospice care.  Victor was born July 24, 1930, in Robins/Sugar Camp to the late Felix and Victoria (Furtak) Rhode. Mr. Rhode served in the Navy. He is survived by his wife Alice Rhode, of Rhinelander; two sons, John (Vicki) Rhode, of Rhinelander, and Brian Rhode of Wausau; four daughters, Christine (Randy) Rhode-Malueg, of Antigo, Victoria (Marty) Huybers, Suzanne (David) Grill, and Jeanne (Tom) Jensen, all of Rhinelander; one Brother, Dennis (Donna) Rhode, of Janesville; one sister, Virginia Denton, of Rhinelander; twelve grandchildren and many Great Grandchildren. Victor was preceded in death by his grandson, Bradley Huybers; four brothers, Frank, Rich, Gust and Lawrence; and one sister, Laurie. Services will be Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, St. Joseph’s site in Rhinelander. Visitation is Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
