Obituary: Kevin M. Kelly

Kevin M. Kelly, 65, Rhinelander, died Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at his home. He was born May 16, 1948, in Antigo, to Eugene and Audrey (Henke) Kelly.

Kevin graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1966 where he was a state champion swimmer in the back stroke and also earned All American honors in the back stroke. Following graduation, he attended the University of Iowa before returning to Rhinelander where he was employed in real estate with Robbins Reality. He then began his career with UPS until retiring in 2012. He married Carol Terzynski on Feb. 22, 1975, in Rhinelander. Kevin loved photography; especially taking photos at his son, Ryan's sporting events and of the many nature scenes the Northwoods presented. He also enjoyed golf, attending high school sporting events, and watching many professional sports. Kevin will be fondly remembered for his positive outlook despite his illness and the spirit to always look forward to each new day. Kevin is survived by his wife, Carol Kelly of Rhinelander; his son, Ryan Kelly of Rhinelander; sister, Kerry Kelly of Rhinelander; sister-in-law, Sylvia (Bob) Huebner of Rhinelander; brother-in-law, Ray (Michelle) Terzynski of St. Petersburg, Fla.; nieces and nephews, Stephani and Jennifer Barrett, Matt and Mike Wendt, Matt (Kathy) and Hayley Huebner, and Brett (Dawn) Terzynski; and great nephews, Treyton, Bradon, and Avery. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service for Kevin will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at the Carlson Funeral Home with Ron Bosi officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place in Northland Memorial Park.
