John Cline, age 85, of Rhinelander, died December 30, 2015 at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Tomahawk. He was born June 22, 1930 in the Town of Nashville to Sam and Eva (Moore) Cline.
John attended schools in Rhinelander, graduating from the Rhinelander High School. After his schooling he served in the army and upon his honorable discharge he returned to Rhinelander and went to work for the Rhinelander Paper Company. He was employed by the mill for over 40 years.
John married Dorothy Meyers June 23, 1951 and she preceded him in death on June 17, 1995. John always kept busy, especially outdoors if he could. He loved to hunt, fish and take care of his garden. He also liked to watch baseball and his favorite team, the Yankees. John is survived by his brother Gary Cline of Rhinelander, his nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Funeral services for John will be held Friday, January 8, at 2 p.m. at the Carlson Funeral Home with Chaplain John Uhlarik officiating. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Friday, January 8 at the Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Monico Cemetery at a later date.
