Homer James Brockman, 72, of Rhinelander, formerly of Stager, Ill., passed away at his home surrounded by his family Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013. He was born Aug. 19, 1941 to Homer Sr. and Mildred (Nichols) Brockman in Chicago Heights, Ill. Homer moved to Rhinelander in 1978. Homer is survived by his wife Jeanne Brockman; his two step daughters, Florie (Charles) Craig and Trina (Shane Lammert) Wulf; his grandsons, Devin Wulf, Jacob Platt and James Shea; his brothers, William (Linda) Brockman of Crete, Ill., and Edward (Alice) Brockman of South Chicago Heights, Ill.; his sisters, Jennifer Anthony of St. Ager, Ill., and Katherine (Phil) Wise of Stager, Ill.; many brother- and sister-in-laws; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ronald Brockman; sister-in-law, Nancy Brockman; and brother-in-law, Charlie Anthony. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home with Deacon Mike Harvey officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
