Obituary: George C. Allen, Jr.

George C. Allen Jr., age 60 of Rhinelander, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020. He was born Dec. 7, 1959, in Miami, Fla., to Carol (Revist) Allen-Branback.

George is survived by his wife, Jan (Wilmot) Allen; daughters, Melissa (Emil) Zalabak, Alexis Allen (Mike Zuiker), and Stephanie Allen (Bryant Smith), all of Rhinelander; Erin (Justin) Karpf of Rhinelander and Vance Gilbert of Florida; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Michele (Andy) Soto, Cheryl (John) Deganaer, Darlene (Doug) Sebright; brothers, Thomas (Phyliss) Allen, Scott (Teresa) Allen, William Allen, Brandon (Michael) Allen, Paul (Kimberly) Allen; many nieces and nephews, other family and many friends, and his golden retriever, Duke.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol.

Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m., Dec. 4 at the Hildebrand Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Dec. 5, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, followed by a procession to Northland Memorial Park for a committal service. (Hildebrand Funeral Home)
