Carl G. Polzin, 97, of Rhinelander died Sept. 12, 2013 in Rhinelander. He was born May 4, 1916 in Hiles, Wisconsin to the late Gustav and Katharina(Bremmer) Polzin. Carl served in the U.S. Air Force in India, Burma, and China during WWII. Survivors include a brother Erwin (Agnes) Polzin of Rhinelander; two sisters, Clara Orwiler of Sarasota, Fla., and Edith Lambert of Brainerd, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his nephew, Robert Polzin, of Rhinelander; and his parents. Funeral services for Carl will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. with visitation from 9 to 11 a.m., all at the Carlson Funeral Home.
